Our Commitment to Training

Think Water firmly believes in the benefits of the training and development of our employees. We aim to provide our staff with the necessary skills to progress in their role and to keep them up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies. This allows Think Water to remain competitive and at the forefront of our industry.

Think Water employees have access to a variety of training options provided by our industry leading suppliers. Additionally  we providean annual 2 week training program that brings together staff from Think Water stores and suppliers from across Australia and New Zealand. The course is designed to benefit both new and existing employees in the irrigation and pumping sector.  Attendees have access to the latest research and an opportunity to learn from leading industry experts. It is also a good forum to share knowledge from different regions.

In 2011, Think Water was successful in securing funding through the Australian Government’s Critical Skills Investment Fund (CSIF). The CSIF is an initiative by the Australian Government to provide funding for training and employment in critical industry sectors to help meet emerging skills demands. These funds will be used to provide training to existing and new Think Water staff to obtain a Certificate III in Irrigation.
