Our Commitment to Training

Think Water has a strong commitment to staff training and development. We aim to provide our staff with the necessary skills to progress in their role and to keep them up-to-date with industry trends and new technologies. This allows Think Water to remain competitive and at the forefront of our industry.

Think Water employees have access to a variety of training options provided by our industry leading suppliers. Additionally, each year Think Water holds a 2 week irrigation training course, which covers hydraulics, pump selection, basic design, drip and filtration, merchandising and selling skills.

Students attend from Think Water stores and suppliers from across Australia and New Zealand. The course is designed to benefit both new and existing employees in the irrigation and pumping sector, and students can achieve a Certificate III in Irrigation from this intensive 2 week course.

The unit presenters are industry experts, sharing with students their knowledge of the technical aspects of pumping and irrigation as well as insight into its practical application.

One student commented of the course:

“I honestly thought the course was great. Anyone thinking of being in the irrigation game that is a part of Think Water should attend. The Irrigation Hydraulics unit and presenter were great and I can personally relate a lot of the formulas and workings to jobs that I am involved with. It was great learning about costings for business, store layouts and general knowledge regarding customers and their demands. On the whole I highly recommend this course to anyone pursuing their carrier in irrigation.”
