Dale Williams purchased Southland Pumps in June 2015, a business that had been operating for over 13 years. In December 2017, Dale saw the advantages of joining the Think Water group and rebranded as Think Water Southland.
Starting out with a two-man team including Dale and Roger Hatton, the business has grown into a five-man team with the introduction of Robyn Pouw, Harman Singh Punn and Nicola Scurr.
The strength of Think Water Southland is in its people. Dale comes from a fire protection and agricultural service background, previously working as branch manager for Wormald, then moving on to Livestock Improvement Corporation where he was awarded the #1 salesperson in New Zealand.
Roger has considerable experience in the pumping and water treatment industry, and Harman is a skilled specialist in the Karcher product range. Robyn looks after the admin. Nicola looks after the front counter and service coordination. They are a small, yet highly effective team who is always upbeat, friendly and enthusiastic.
Located in the city of Invercargill, Think Water Southland is the most southerly store in the Think Water family. The local region contains a wide range of agricultural, horticultural, industrial and commercial customers.
Dairy farming is strong in Southland, and Dale and his team have developed great methods for iron removal as part of their water treatment product range. Dairy effluent services are also available.
Vegetable growing and processing is another major market, along with industrial commercial users, such as the Tiwai Point Aluminium Smelter in nearby Bluff. And of course, they carry out sales and service of domestic pumping and water treatment systems.
